A recurring lottery on Solana where every eligible $LOTTO holder is entered automatically. The chance of winning a draw equals the share of the eligible supply a wallet holds. Rounds, snapshots, randomness and payouts are handled by an on-chain program.
What is $LOTTO?+
An SPL token on Solana with liquidity on Meteora. Holding it is what enters you into the lottery. Always confirm the official mint address on the token page before buying.
How are winners selected?+
When a round closes, a snapshot of eligible balances is committed on-chain as a Merkle-sum root. Verifiable randomness is then requested and the program computes ticket = randomness mod total eligible weight. Each wallet owns a ticket range equal to its weight; the wallet whose range contains the ticket wins, and the program will only pay that wallet.
How are lottery odds calculated?+
Your odds for a draw = your eligible balance ÷ the total eligible balance at the snapshot. If you hold 1% of the eligible supply, you have a 1% chance. The calculator on the homepage estimates this from the latest indexed balances.
Does holding more $LOTTO increase my odds?+
Yes, proportionally — unless a per-wallet cap is configured, in which case balances above the cap do not add weight. The current rules are shown on the How it works page.
Can the team choose the winner?+
No. The program pays only the wallet whose committed ticket range contains the random ticket, and the snapshot is locked before the randomness exists. What the team does control: the operator builds the snapshot from chain data (published so anyone can check it), and the admin can pause the lottery or change rules for future rounds. Neither can withdraw the prize vault or alter a locked snapshot. The full trust model is on the security page.
Can the winner be verified?+
Yes. Every round page has a “Verify now” button that re-derives the eligible set, Merkle-sum root, ticket and winner in your browser using data read directly from Solana. A command-line verifier is included in the open-source repository.
What happens if I sell before the snapshot?+
Only what you hold at the snapshot counts. If the round uses several balance samples, your weight is the lowest balance across them, so selling (or buying) mid-round reduces your weight for that round.
What wallets are eligible?+
Wallets holding at least the configured minimum that are not on the on-chain exclusion list (liquidity pools, burn addresses, treasury, team and similar categories, as configured). Program-owned addresses such as pool vaults can also be excluded automatically. Smart-contract wallets (e.g. some multisigs) are program-owned and may therefore be ineligible.
How often is the lottery drawn?+
Rounds run on the on-chain schedule. The schedule is stored on-chain and each round's closing time is fixed when it opens.
Where is the prize stored?+
In a token vault owned by the lottery program. The jackpot shown on the site is read from that vault. The deployed program has no withdrawal instruction: funds can only leave the vault as a prize payment to a verified winner. Like any upgradeable Solana program, its code could be replaced by its upgrade authority — see the security page for how to check that authority.
Do I need to claim my prize?+
No. The keeper pays winners automatically. Settlement is permissionless, so if it has not happened yet, the winner (or anyone) can trigger it from the dashboard.
How can I verify the lottery?+
Open any round on the history page and run the verifier, or use the CLI. You can also inspect the program, vault and round accounts on Solana Explorer from the transparency page.
What happens if the lottery fails?+
Every step is guarded on-chain. If no wallet is eligible, no prize is available, the snapshot is not committed in time, or randomness never arrives after all retries, the round is cancelled with the reason recorded and the prize stays in the vault for the next round. A revealed winner can never be cancelled. In an emergency the admin can pause the lottery; funds stay in the vault.
What does connecting my wallet allow?+
Only reading your public address so the site can show your balance and odds. The site never asks for your seed phrase or private key, and nothing is signed unless you approve a transaction yourself.
Is participating legal where I live?+
It depends on your jurisdiction. Lottery-style mechanics are regulated or prohibited in many places, and we make no claim that participation is legal for you. You are responsible for checking and complying with your local laws.
